Get ready for the Battle of the Books, part book-club and part team-competition for all Alden students! Each team collectively reads a total of twelve books over a six-month period. Students can listen to audio versions of the books, read with family members or read on their own. In the spring, grade-level teams compete in a "Final Battle," showcasing their knowledge of what they've read. All students of all reading levels are encouraged to participate in this fun, team-building experience! Please consider signing up to help as a Team Leader. It's a fun program and we provide all the materials! Read more about Battle of the Books HERE.
REGISTRATION IS FULL. WAIT LIST AVAILABLE HERE.
Passport Club is an Alden PTA after school geography program. Passport Club provides a foundation in global literacy and inspires curiosity about the world. Students study the locations of countries and are tested on their knowledge. Depending on the level they choose, by the end of the year they will have learned the locations of many, or all, of the countries of the world!
All parents and guardians interested in volunteering at Alden School at any point during this school year MUST fill out the annual Volunteer Registration Form before OCTOBER 6th. Submitting this form does NOT obligate you to volunteer. When you submit the form, the Alden School office will check if you have completed all the requirements to volunteer so if you see a volunteer opportunity that interests you (class party, field trip, book fair, PTA event, etc.) you will be eligible to volunteer!
